Curriculum – The Massachusetts Maple Producers Association

The Massachusetts Maple Producers Association

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of maple sugaring in Massachusetts. Since its founding in 1947, the Association has represented most of the commercial sugarmakers in Massachusetts, as well as an increasing number of hobbyists. Regular members are actively producing maple products or are directly related to the industry.

We support ongoing research into the many factors affecting our member farms, including production practices, quality control, environmental concerns, land development pressures and long term tree health. We assist teachers and schools with educational materials and support.

Our booth in the Massachusetts Building at the Eastern States Exposition (The Big-E) is staffed by our volunteer members every September. It’s a great place to try a sample of the sweet treats from our woodland farms.
